The Real Problem

Why Traditional POS Fails the Modern Merchant

Fixed POS terminals are expensive, slow to deploy, and tied to a counter. Your merchants operate in markets, on the road, and at events — a hardware terminal doesn't follow them there.

01

Hardware costs kill small merchant economics

A dedicated POS terminal costs $150–$500 upfront plus a monthly rental fee. For low-volume merchants, street vendors, or seasonal businesses, the math never works — so they stay cash-only.

02

Fixed terminals mean fixed locations

A delivery agent, field sales rep, or market trader can't carry a countertop terminal. Without a mobile payment option, every out-of-store sale is a lost opportunity — for you and your merchant.

03

Onboarding traditional POS takes weeks

Ordering hardware, shipping, field installation, and configuration can take 2–4 weeks. By the time the terminal arrives, the merchant has signed with a competitor who got them live in days.

04

Fragmented acceptance modes

Customers want to pay with cards, UPI, QR, wallets, and wearables. Managing a separate device or app for each payment method creates friction and increases support costs for your operations team.

05

Compliance burden with every hardware model

Every new POS terminal model requires separate EMV certification, key injection, and PCI-DSS audit coverage. Managing a fleet of different hardware versions is a compliance nightmare at scale.

06

No visibility into mobile merchant transactions

When merchants use third-party apps or cash, you lose transaction visibility entirely. Without an mPOS platform under your brand, you can't monitor volume, catch fraud, or upsell settlement services.

How it Works

A Payment in Four Steps. Live in Under 2 Minutes.

From merchant tapping the app to customer walking away with a receipt — the entire mPOS flow is designed to be invisible to both parties.

1

Merchant Opens App

The merchant opens the DigiPay mPOS app, enters the transaction amount, and selects the payment mode — or simply taps "Request Payment" and the app handles the rest.

2

Customer Taps or Scans

The customer taps their NFC card, wallet, or wearable — or scans the QR code displayed on screen. The request is instantly sent to the payment network and acquiring bank.

3

Instant Authorization

The acquirer processes the transaction in real time. The merchant sees "Approved" on their screen in under 1.5 seconds. Declined transactions show a clear reason code immediately.

4

Digital Receipt Delivered

The customer receives an e-receipt via SMS, email, or WhatsApp. The merchant's transaction log updates instantly. Settlement runs on the configured T+0 or T+1 cycle.

Payment Acceptance Modes

Every Way a Customer Wants to Pay. Covered.

From tap-to-pay NFC cards to QR codes and digital wallets — your mPOS platform handles all acceptance modes from a single app and single integration.

MODE 1

Digital Wallets & Wearables

Accept payments from any NFC-enabled digital wallet or wearable device. Your merchants can take payment from customers who've left their physical card at home — just a tap of the phone or watch.

  • Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay
  • Smartwatches, fitness bands, NFC rings
  • In-app payment triggers for delivery apps
  • Instant approval feedback on merchant screen

Frequently asked questions

An mPOS (mobile point of sale) solution typically combines a merchant's smartphone with an external Bluetooth card reader to accept chip, magnetic stripe, and contactless payments. SoftPOS (Software Point of Sale) turns the phone itself into the card reader using the device's built-in NFC chip — no external hardware needed. DigiPay.Guru supports both models within the same platform, allowing you to deploy whichever is right for each merchant segment.

The platform supports NFC contactless cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex), digital wallets (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay), wearable devices (smartwatches, NFC rings), QR code payments (UPI static/dynamic, BHIM, PhonePe), and magnetic stripe/chip+PIN cards via a paired Bluetooth card reader. All acceptance modes are managed through a single app.

Yes, fully white-label. The merchant-facing mobile app is built with your brand name, logo, and color palette. It can be published to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store under your organization's developer account. Merchants will see your brand throughout the experience — DigiPay.Guru is invisible to them.

mPOS merchants are registered as entities within the Merchant Management System hierarchy. When a merchant is onboarded, their MDR fee rules, outlet profiles, KYC status, and settlement preferences are configured in the MMS and inherited automatically by the mPOS app. No duplicate configuration is needed — changes in the MMS propagate to the app in real time.

The platform supports 30+ Bluetooth card reader models from vendors including Ingenico, PAX, BBPOS, Miura, and Datecs. Pairing is automatic — merchants hold the reader near their phone and the app connects in seconds. New reader models can be added through the device SDK without requiring an app update.

Yes. The platform is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. All card data is encrypted at the point of interaction using P2PE (Point-to-Point Encryption) — card numbers never pass through the merchant's device in plaintext. The platform uses tokenization to replace card data with a non-sensitive token for all downstream processing and storage. EMV 3DS is applied on every transaction for fraud scoring.
