Why It Matters

POS Terminal Chaos IsCosting You More Than You Think

Most acquirers manage their terminal estate across spreadsheets, field visits, and siloed tools. The result: slow deployments, missed failures, and margins eroded by ops overhead.

01

Terminal deployment takes days, not minutes

Provisioning a POS terminal typically requires a field engineer visit, manual configuration, and multiple team handoffs. Every day a terminal sits idle is revenue lost for you and your merchant.

02

You find out about failures after the merchant does

Without real-time device monitoring, a terminal that goes offline at 9 AM isn't reported until the merchant calls your support line at noon. Three hours of lost transactions — and a damaged relationship.

03

Terminal inventory is a guessing game

You don't know how many devices are in the field, how many are warehoused, how many are in repair, or which models are running outdated firmware. Procurement decisions are made blind.

04

Key management is a compliance risk

Manual TMK and key injection processes are slow, error-prone, and a PCI-DSS audit risk. A missed key rotation or an untracked key compromise can cascade across your entire terminal estate.

05

Every device type needs a different tool

POS, SoftPOS, mPOS, and QR terminals each have their own management interface. Your ops team spends more time switching between tools than actually managing terminals.

06

No data to improve performance

Without per-terminal transaction analytics, you can't identify underperforming devices, flag anomalies, or rebalance terminal allocation across outlets based on volume trends.

Every POS Terminal. Fully Under Your Control.

Four integrated modules that cover the complete lifecycle of a POS terminal — from procurement to decommissioning.

POS TERMINAL MANAGEMENT

One Console for Every Terminal Type You Operate.

Whether your acquiring network runs Ingenico countertop units, Android SoftPOS, PAX smart terminals, or QR-based acceptance — the POS Terminal Management module brings them into a single, unified console with full lifecycle visibility.

  • Manage POS, SoftPOS, mPOS, QR static/dynamic, and payment links from one dashboard
  • Assign terminals to merchants, outlets, and hierarchy levels instantly
  • Remote key injection (TMK, ZMK) — no field engineer required
  • Per terminal transaction history, approval rate, and error log
  • Decommission, suspend, or reassign terminals in seconds

TERMINAL INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Know Exactly What You Have, Where, and Why.

Stop managing terminal inventory in spreadsheets. The Inventory module tracks every device from warehouse to merchant location — including model, firmware version, condition, and deployment status. Make procurement decisions with real data.

  • Centralized registry of all terminal assets — warehouse stock, deployed, in-repair, and retired
  • Firmware version tracking — know which terminals are outdated before a PCI audit asks
  • Batch import terminal serial numbers via CSV or API on receipt from supplier
  • Automated reorder alerts when available stock drops below threshold
  • Full asset history: who was assigned this terminal, when, and what happened

TERMINAL DEPLOYMENT

Deploy a Terminal in Under 2 Minutes. No Field Visit.

Remote provisioning eliminates the need for field engineers to configure each device individually. Assign a terminal to a merchant outlet, push the config, inject keys over-the-air, and the terminal is live — all without leaving the console.

  • Over-the-air (OTA) configuration — parameters, keys, and app pushed remotely
  • Assign terminals to merchant hierarchy: Merchant → Outlet → Terminal in 3 clicks
  • Batch deployment: provision 100+ terminals to different merchants simultaneously
  • Deployment checklists: KYC verified, MDR rate set, test transaction confirmed
  • Rollback any config change instantly if issues arise post-deployment

DEVICE MONITORING

Know Before Your Merchant Knows. Every Time.

Real-time device health monitoring across your entire POS estate. Connectivity checks, battery status, last-transaction timestamps, and error rate tracking — with automated alerts pushed to your ops team and optionally to the merchant before they even notice an issue.

  • Real-time status dashboard: online, offline, degraded — refreshed every 60 seconds
  • Automated alerts via SMS, email, or webhook when a terminal goes offline
  • Configurable alert thresholds: trigger after 5 min, 15 min, or custom window
  • Transaction decline rate monitoring — catch hardware or connectivity issues early
  • 30-day terminal health history for trend analysis and SLA reporting

How it Works

A Terminal on the Shelf to Live in Four Simple Steps

Everything runs through a single workflow — no handoffs between teams, no manual config files, no field visits.

1

Register the Device

DefAdd terminal serial numbers to inventory via CSV, API, or manual entry. Firmware version, model, and supplier are logged automatically.

2

Assign to Merchant Outlet

Link the terminal to a merchant's specific outlet in the Merchant Management System. MDR rules and parameters are inherited automatically.

3

Deploy & Configure OTA

Push parameters, inject keys, and activate the terminal remotely. The merchant receives the device and is ready to accept payments immediately.

4

Monitor & Respond

Track health, volume, and alerts in real time. Your ops team acts on issues before merchants even notice — automatically escalating based on your rules.

Frequently asked questions

DigiPay.Guru's POS Acquiring Platform supports 30+ terminal models across all major vendors including Ingenico, Verifone, PAX, Nexgo, and Sunmi. It also supports Android-based SoftPOS devices, QR code static and dynamic terminals, and mPOS Bluetooth card readers. New device models can be added through the SDK without platform updates.

OTA key injection uses TLS-encrypted secure channels to push Terminal Master Keys (TMK) and Zone Master Keys (ZMK) to devices after they establish a secure session with the key management server. The process follows TR-31 key block standards and is fully PCI-DSS compliant. All key injection events are logged with timestamps for audit purposes.

In most cases, a terminal can go from assigned-to-merchant to live-and-transacting in under 2 minutes. This covers merchant assignment, parameter push, OTA key injection, and test transaction confirmation. Activation time depends on network conditions at the terminal's location; a deployment checklist in the console shows each step's status in real time.

Yes. The platform supports OTA firmware updates and application pushes for supported device models. You can schedule updates to deploy during off-peak hours to minimize impact on transaction activity. The inventory module tracks which terminals are running outdated firmware and surfaces them as a prioritized action list.

Each terminal is pinged on a configurable heartbeat interval (default: every 60 seconds). If a terminal misses consecutive heartbeats beyond a defined threshold (e.g., 5 minutes, 15 minutes), the platform fires an automated alert via SMS, email, and/or webhook. Escalation rules can route alerts to different ops contacts based on geography, merchant tier, or terminal type. Alerts resolve automatically when the terminal reconnects.

The POS Acquiring Platform integrates natively with DigiPay.Guru's Merchant Management System. When you assign a terminal to a merchant outlet, it inherits the outlet's MDR fee rules, settlement preferences, and compliance status automatically. Changes to merchant configuration propagate to the terminal without manual re-configuration. There is no API integration required between the two products — they share the same data layer.
